I’ve been asked for this recipe too many times to count, so it was only a matter of time until I shared it on a larger scale. This is the supershake that Michael and I have for breakfast a few times a week (almost daily in the summertime). It is quick, ridiculously tasty (if you like chocolate shakes), and so packed with nutrients that the need for anything caffeinated in the morning completely disappears and you will be full until lunch time. Pretty good, right? That’s why we’ve been making this for about three years and still aren’t sick of it.
So, here we go!
1Tbsp each of:
- Flax seed (whole)
- Chia Seeds
- Hemp Seeds
Add 1 Tbsp each of:
- Maca Powder
- Cocoa Powder
- Peanut butter (natural)
- Heaping Tbsp vegan chocolate protein powder (We like Natural Factors high protein formula)
1 tsp Coconut oil
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup almond milk (more if you like more liquidy)
2-3 ice cubes
Blend together (we use the magic bullet or Blentec) and voila!
This may seem like a lot of ingredients, but it lasts for ages since you’re using such a small amount of each. You can also take out or replace ingredients as you wish, however, every change will alter the flavour.
